Spaghetti with tuna Tunisian style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 pepper or hot paprika
  • some olive oil
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp harissa, to taste
  • 200 g tomato puree, alternatively puree fresh tomatoes
  • n. B. Spice mix (Tabil)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 kg spaghetti
  • 200 g tuna
  • some olives, black
  • possibly capers

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Crush the garlic, finely chop the onion and chili peppers, and fry in a little olive oil. Add the tomato paste, harissa, and tomato puree. Let everything cook briefly. Add a little Tabil and season with salt and pepper. Add a little olive oil and half a liter of water. Let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes. You can also use less water and let it thicken a little more. In the meantime, cook the spaghetti with a little olive oil and a pinch of salt. Arrange the spaghetti on a plate, pour the sauce and tuna over it, and garnish with olives and capers.
