Simple Nasi Goreng

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil, roasted
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce, light
  • n. B. salt and pepper, black
  • 1 shallot(s)
  • 1 ginger root, about thumb-sized
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 pepper, red
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil, roasted
  • 300 g chicken breast
  • 1 tbsp, heaped peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil, roasted
  • 200 g rice
  • 100 g shrimp(s)
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce, dark sweet
  • 4 eggs
  • e.g. paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Slice the chicken breast and season with salt and pepper. Marinate the slices in sesame oil and light soy sauce. Cook the rice. Grate the carrots. Slice the spring onions into rings. Make a paste of the shallot, chili peppers, garlic, and ginger in a mortar or blender and roast in the sesame oil. Add the rice, carrots, spring onions, and shrimp. Sauté everything and deglaze with the dark soy sauce. Fry the chicken in the sesame oil and glaze with peanut butter. Fry the fried eggs. Place the fried eggs on the rice on the plates and place the chicken pieces next to them.
