Elderflower sugar

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 elderflower heads, fresh
  • 750 g sugar, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Do not wash the elderflowers and pick them shortly before midday sun. Pick them as far away from small insects and aphids as possible. Remove the stems from the blossoms and place them in a large, sealable jar. Stir in the sugar. Shake occasionally, leaving the jar open at first. This sugar has many uses. It’s always good in desserts where the elderflower flavor is needed, whether as a drink or in cakes, etc.
