Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g quark
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • 3 eggs, size M
  • 200 g cream cheese, e.g. with jalapeños or chili
  • 2 sausages, coarse
  • 1 jar Jalapeño(s), 165 g drained weight
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • n. B. Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 13 hours 5 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Mix the eggs with the quark and cheese. Form the mixture into a flat shape and bake in the oven on the second rack from the bottom for about 30 minutes. Let the mixture cool, then spread with cream cheese. Remove the sausage from its skin and fry until crumbly. Drain the jalapeños and spread them on the cream cheese along with the sausage. Drizzle with maple syrup. Carefully roll up the mixture and refrigerate overnight. Slice and serve.
