Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg tomatoes, peeled and weighed
  • 2 chili peppers, small hot
  • 750 g gelling sugar, 2:1
  • 2 cloves

Wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, and blanch them in boiling water. Rinse with cold water and peel off the skin. Halve, deseed, and finely dice. Trim, deseed, and very finely chop the chili peppers. Mix with the tomatoes and preserving sugar, cover, and let stand overnight. The next day, bring to a boil with the cloves and simmer for about 4 minutes, stirring continuously. Remove the cloves and immediately pour the jam into hot, boiled twist-off jars, seal, and let stand with the lid on for about 5 minutes.
