Chocolate-orange croissants

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 60 g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pack orange zest, grated
  • 125 g butter
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 1 pack of cake icing, dark

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 9 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 19 minutes

Mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Add the egg, butter, orange zest, and butter and knead everything into a smooth dough. Chop the dark chocolate and knead it in. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for about 30 minutes. Form the dough into a log on a floured work surface. Cut off approximately 1-2 cm thick portions from the log and shape them into croissants. Place the croissants on a baking sheet, leaving some space between them. Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for about 9 minutes, then let cool. Melt the cake glaze according to the package instructions and drizzle it over the croissants.
