Apple and fig chutney

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg apples
  • 50 g ginger
  • 150 g sugar
  • 50 g almond(s), ground
  • 1 tbsp mustard powder, yellow
  • Salt
  • 100 ml vinegar (honey vinegar)
  • 3 figs, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel, quarter, core, and dice the apples. Peel and slice the ginger root. Combine both with the sugar, almonds, mustard powder, salt, and vinegar. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 30 minutes. Wash and skin the figs, cut them into small pieces, add them, and simmer for about 15 minutes. Pour the chutney while still boiling hot into jars with twist-off lids and seal immediately. Let stand with the lid on for 5 minutes.
