oven sandwich

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slices of bread (preferably mixed bread)
  • 4 slices of sausage (cold cuts or ham)
  • 4 slices of cheese (Maasdam, Gouda, Emmental, Edam, Tilsiter or Butterkäse)
  • some tomato paste
  • some oregano
  • some pepper
  • n. B. onion(s)
  • possibly garlic
  • possibly chili
  • n. B. Mushrooms

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

First, spread the bread with tomato paste, not too thinly. Now you can season it as desired. Oregano is included in the list of ingredients because it is very suitable, but you can also use other herbs and spices. Next, add the toppings as you wish. If you are using onions, chili, or garlic, I recommend placing these ingredients under the sausage, as this gives them a chance to impart their flavor to the tomato paste. The final layer is the cheese. If you like, you can sprinkle it with pepper. Now all you need to do is put the sandwiches in the oven at 180°C – 200°C (top/bottom heat). Depending on the desired degree of browning, the oven sandwiches will be ready after about 10 – 15 minutes.
