Oven-baked herb shrimp

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g shrimp(s), deveined, head removed if desired
  • 1 tbsp garlic, sliced
  • 2 tbsp dill, chopped
  • 3 tbsp spring onions, sliced
  • 1 chili pepper(s), long red, cut into strips
  • 6 slice(s) butter (approx. 1 tbsp), thin slices
  • 100 ml white wine
  • some lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Danish style

All ingredients should already be prepared as described above. I cut open the shell on the back of the prawns with scissors, make a cut in the back with a knife, and remove the intestines. I leave the shell on for added flavor. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Place the prawns in an ovenproof dish, laying them side by side. Baste with the white wine, distribute the garlic, chili, and herbs evenly over the dish, and drizzle with a little lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper and place a few slices of butter on top. Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 15-20 minutes, until the prawns are nice and pink. Serve with fresh bread.
