Singles Dinner No. 160

Using a small glass (approx. 5 cm in diameter), cut out two round discs from each slice of bread. Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat, fry the six discs until crispy on both sides, remove any excess fat from them on kitchen paper, and place them on a small platter. Pour enough oil into a tall pot and fry the fried peppers thoroughly, then sprinkle with sea salt. Then remove any excess fat from them on a double layer of kitchen paper. Place a slice of ham and two small peppers onto each slice of bread with a toothpick. Arrange the remaining peppers on the platter and sprinkle with a little more sea salt, if desired. Garnish and serve. Tip: Also great as a small appetizer.
