  • Flour for the work surface

Instructions

Nice and soft and super delicious. Makes 6 pieces.

Combine 100g of flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Heat the milk, water, and butter in a small saucepan (approx. 50°C). While stirring, add the milk mixture to the flour mixture, then stir in half of the beaten egg. Gradually stir in the remaining 180g of flour. Knead the dough thoroughly on a floured surface for about 8 minutes, divide into 6 portions, and form into balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and press down lightly. Cover and let rise in a warm place (I always use a preheated oven) for about 30 minutes. Then brush the balls with the remaining egg. If desired, you can also sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 200°C for about 12 minutes, until golden brown. To build the burgers, simply cut open the buns and toast them on the cut side in a toaster.
