Wrap – basic recipe

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 150 ml water
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 30 ml oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

for 8 wraps

Mix all ingredients—except the oil—to form a smooth, pliable dough. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes. Divide into 8 portions and roll each portion out on a floured surface into a flatbread about 1 mm thick. Cook in a pan with a little oil on both sides. Make sure they don’t overcook. Tip: To prevent the wraps from becoming hard, place them directly from the pan in a wet, wrung-out tea towel. Stacked and wrapped in this, they stay or become perfectly soft. You can also keep them warm in the oven.
