Mini calzone as a delicious party snack
Thinly slice the onions. Halve these again. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onions until translucent. Then let it cool. Mix the onions with the crème fraîche, ham, egg, and Emmental cheese and let it chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour. The filling doesn’t need to be salted, as the ham is salty enough. Spread out the pizza dough and roll it out a little thinner. Use a cup to cut out circles about 10 cm in diameter (I get about 12). Top the pizza discs with the filling, fold them together, and press down firmly. Carefully place the mini-calzone on a baking sheet and sprinkle with some grated Emmental cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 225°C for about 15-20 minutes, until the discs and cheese are nicely browned.
