Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 3 egg whites
- 100 g sugar
- 1 orange(s), untreated, zest thereof
- 125 g almond flour
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Beat the egg whites until stiff. Gradually add the sugar while whisking, adding most of it at the end. Combine the grated zest of a fresh orange and the ground almonds, then fold into the egg white and sugar mixture with a spatula. Pipe the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper using a piping bag fitted with a large nozzle. Place in a preheated oven at 120°C (top/bottom heat) and bake for about 35-40 minutes. The macarons should be lightly browned on the bottom.
