Delicate – crunchy almond fans

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g almond flakes
  • 60 g butter
  • 30 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp cream or milk

Heat the butter in a saucepan, stir in the sugar and vanilla sugar. Bring to a boil. Add the cream or milk. Now fold in the almonds and let them simmer briefly again. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool slightly, then pour the mixture into a springform pan (approx. 20 cm) lined with baking paper and press down firmly. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes, until the almonds are golden brown. Let it cool briefly again, then cut into 12 equal pieces with a knife (like a cake). The slices go particularly well with ice cream or other desserts, but they’re also great as a snack between meals or as cake decorations.
