Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g almond(s), chopped
  • 100 g dark chocolate coating
  • 200 g marzipan paste
  • 2 egg whites
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 40 cherries (sour cherries)
  • 150 g dark chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

makes 40 cookies

Lightly toast the almonds and finely chop the chocolate coating. Finely chop the marzipan and knead in the egg whites one at a time. Gradually add the powdered sugar, cocoa, cinnamon, chocolate coating, and almonds, kneading until smooth. Using a small spoon, scoop out a small amount of the mixture and, with moistened hands, form into 40 balls (approx. 3 cm). Make an indentation and place a cherry in each. Gather the dough over the balls and form into a ball again. Place the balls, leaving some space between them, on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 170°C for 12-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. Roughly chop the chocolate coating and melt it in a water bath. Dip the tops of the cookies into the balls and let them dry on baking paper.
