Bear Paws, Vegan

The perfect bear paws, vegan recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 50 g Spelled flour type 630
  • 170 g Food starch
  • 80 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 30 g Cocoa powder
  • 200 g Margarine, sunflower
  • 2 tbsp Mineral water
  • Couverture vegan
  1. Mix the flour, starch, powdered sugar, vanilla and cocoa. Use margarine and mineral water to form a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees top / bottom heat. Dust the work surface with flour, then shape the dough into a long, flattened roll. Cut off long biscuits and press 2/3 in with a fork. Bake on a baking sheet lined with baking paper for approx. 12 minutes. Let cool down.
  3. Melt the couverture and dip the paws with the side that has no grooves.
