Orange chocolate triangles

Ingredients for 50 servings:

  • 200 g butter
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 280 g flour
  • 1 orange(s), untreated
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch(s) clove(s), ground
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 100 g chocolate coating
  • 20 g chopped pistachios

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

Thoroughly mix the butter with the powdered sugar and salt. Add the egg yolks, then knead with the flour. Grate the orange zest. Divide the dough in half, work the orange zest into one half and the cocoa, cinnamon, and cloves into the other. Chill the dough halves for a few hours. Roll each half out into a rectangle (approx. 25 x 25 cm). Brush the light dough with lightly beaten egg white, place the dark dough on top, and press down lightly. Cut the dough into squares, then into triangles. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 15 minutes. Once cooled, spread the surfaces with melted chocolate coating and sprinkle with the chopped pistachios.
