Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g flour
- 250 ml milk
- 100 g butter
- 100 g sugar
- 1 cube of yeast
- 1 egg(s)
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 lemon(s), untreated
- 2 kg plum(s)
- Sugar and cinnamon, for sprinkling
- Fat, for the baking tray
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
All ingredients must be at room temperature. Crumble the yeast into a mixing bowl. Add half of the warm milk and dissolve the yeast. Add half of the sifted flour and 2 tablespoons of the sugar and knead with a hand mixer until soft. Place the pre-dough in a preheated oven at 40°C for 20 minutes. Then add the remaining milk, butter, sugar, egg, vanilla sugar, salt, and grated lemon zest and mix. Add the remaining flour and finish the yeast dough. Remove the dough and let it rest for 5 minutes, then roll it out onto a greased baking sheet and let it rise for another 20 minutes. Carefully scatter the pitted plums over the yeast dough. Bake in a preheated oven (150°C fan oven) for 25 minutes. After baking, sprinkle the cake with sugar and cinnamon. Serve with whipped cream.
