Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp syrup (violet syrup)

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Preheat the oven to 120°C. Beat the egg whites with the salt until frothy, gradually adding the sugar and syrup and continuing to beat until the mixture is glossy and forms peaks. Fill a piping bag with the mixture and pipe approximately 30-40 small mounds onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Place the baking sheet in the oven (middle rack) and bake for 45-50 minutes, leaving the oven door slightly ajar. The meringues should still be slightly soft on the inside and should not brown as much as possible during baking. Remove from the oven and let cool.
