for all those who want to bake a beautiful birthday train with the silicone baking mould
Use a sour cream cup or a similarly sized mug as a cup measure. Beat 1 cup sugar and 3 eggs until frothy, add 1/2 cup oil, then 1 cup flour, 1 cup nuts, 1 packet of baking powder, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, and finally 1 cup sour cream. People say that silicone baking pans don’t need to be greased, but to ensure the cake doesn’t stick to the pan and turns out beautifully, I oiled the pan and sprinkled it with breadcrumbs, then poured the batter into the pan. The batter will still rise, so don’t fill it all the way to the top. Bake at 180°C for approx. 20-25 minutes. After baking, trim the cake straight while it’s still in the pan. Allow to cool thoroughly. I do it upside down with the “base/wheels” facing down. Carefully remove from the pan only after it has cooled completely. For decoration, e.g. For example, cover with icing, perhaps coloring the icing for the different train cars with food coloring. Use gummy bears as passengers. Glue Smarties on as “tires” with melted chocolate coating.
