Blueberry shake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 150 g oat flakes, wholegrain
  • 10 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 300 g blueberries
  • 70 ml water, approx.
  • 500 ml almond drink, unsweetened
  • 400 g vanilla ice cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

with caramelized oat flakes and vanilla ice cream

In a hot, non-stick pan, slowly toast the oats without adding any fat until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Then add the sugar and let it caramelize slightly. Transfer the caramelized oats to a bowl, reserving about 4 tablespoons for garnishing. Add the honey to the hot pan and heat gently until it bubbles. Then add the blueberries—except for a few for garnishing—and stir with a spoon. Add about 50 to 70 ml of water, bring to a boil briefly, and then let cool. Combine the cooled caramelized oats, the cooled blueberry-honey mixture, the almond milk, and the vanilla ice cream in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into 6 glasses and garnish with the remaining caramelized oats and blueberries.
