Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g strawberries
  • 1 apple
  • ½ lemon(s)
  • 5 tsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 ½ liters of water

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

something cool for hot summer days

Cut the apple into eighths, leaving the core intact. Wash the strawberries. Halve the lemon. Place the fruit and the remaining ingredients in a saucepan, add 1.5 liters of water, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer the fruit for about 15 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the fruit steep on the hot stovetop for about another 2 hours. Strain and discard any overcooked fruit. Pour into bottles or other suitable containers and refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
