Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g honey
- 175 g sugar
- 175 g butter
- 125 g almonds, half ground and half chopped
- 500 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- ½ tbsp cocoa
- 1 tsp cinnamon, mixed with gingerbread spice
- 4 eggs
- 3 tbsp kirsch or fruit schnapps

Warm the honey and add the sugar and butter, stirring until smooth. Then transfer the mixture to a bowl and mix in the flour, baking powder, cocoa, eggs, almonds, kirsch, and spices. Stir until smooth. Spread the dough onto a baking sheet (approx. 30 x 20 cm). Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 10-15 minutes until browned. Cut into pieces while still warm and, if desired, cover with a powdered sugar and lemon glaze.
