delicious Christmas cookies – also good to make with children

Mix all ingredients together and make a dough. The dough should be smooth and not sticky. Refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 0.5 cm thick and cut out any shapes you like. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at about 175°C for about 12 minutes. Mix the powdered sugar with enough lemon juice to form a thick glaze. Always start with a little lemon juice so it doesn’t become too runny. Be sure to cover the cookies with glaze to soften them. Let the glaze dry thoroughly and then store the cookies in tightly sealed containers.
