Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 500 g flour
  • 190 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 140 g cranberries, dried
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp, leveled baking powder
  • some butter-vanilla flavoring

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes

Makes about 90 pieces, crumbly, not too sweet

Finely chop the cranberries. Mix the flour and baking powder on a work surface and make a well in the center. Add the eggs and a few drops of vanilla essence to the well. Sprinkle the sugar, vanilla sugar, and the butter, cut into small pieces, around the edge. Knead everything into a smooth dough. Finally, knead in the cranberries and chill for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan oven). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 0.8 cm thick and cut out star shapes using a cookie cutter. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake the cookies in the oven for about 8-10 minutes. The cookies may be slightly lighter in color. Let cool and place in a storage container. Makes about 90 cookies.
