Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 300 g pasta, such as spirelli or penne
- 250 g cheese, grated
- ½ bell pepper(s), diced
- 10 mushrooms, sliced
- ½ broccoli, cut into florets, stem sliced
- 100 ml cream
- 3 tbsp Ajvar, hot, or more, depending on your taste
- 1 small chicken fillet(s), cut into pieces
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- ½ cup water
- salt and pepper
- some oil for the mold and the pan
- 1 onion(s), finely diced
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
spicy and creamy!
Cook the pasta al dente. Set aside. Heat the oil and season the chicken fillet with salt and pepper. Brown it in the oil and add the diced onion, then the broccoli, mushrooms, and bell peppers, and fry for a few minutes. The meat should be cooked through and the vegetables at least firm to the bite. Add the tomato paste and sauté. Add the ajvar and deglaze with the cream. Top with a little water and season again with salt and pepper. Season with more ajvar, if desired. The sauce shouldn’t be too runny! Grease the gratin dish with oil and add a layer of pasta. Spread half of the cheese on top. Pour the sauce on top and finish with a second layer of pasta and grated cheese. Place in the oven at around 150°C and bake for about 10-15 minutes, until the cheese has melted.
