Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 100 g butter, soft
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 25 g marzipan paste, finely diced
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 lemon(s) (organic), grated peel, or Citro-Back
- 125 g flour
- 1 egg yolk
- 4 tbsp sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 45 minutes
For 30 pieces
Cream together butter, powdered sugar, marzipan, vanilla sugar, and lemon zest. Sift over the flour and knead in. Form a log approximately 4 cm in diameter. Cut the log in half lengthwise, cover, and chill for at least 4 hours (or overnight). Preheat oven to 175°C. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Brush the dough logs with beaten egg yolk and roll in sugar. Then cut into approximately 0.5 cm thick slices and place on the baking sheets. Bake for 10-15 minutes and let cool.
