according to Grandma Erna’s recipe

Separate the eggs. Beat the sugar, vanilla sugar, and egg yolks until frothy. Mix the baking powder with the ground nuts and stir into the sugar and egg mixture. Add the softened butter, rum, and ground chocolate. Mix everything well. Beat the 5 egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold into the batter. Pour the batter into a greased 26cm springform pan and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (300°F) for 60 minutes. Once the base has cooled, whip the cream with 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1 packet of cream stiffener until stiff peaks form and spread it on the base using a cake ring. Chill the cake for at least an hour, then pour enough advocaat over the cream to completely cover the cream. Chill for another hour, then remove the cake ring.
