Chocolate-Coconut Hussar Doughnuts

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 200 g flour
  • 200 g desiccated coconut
  • 150 g chocolate, variety according to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

For the dough, cream the butter with the powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt. Stir in the egg yolks. Add the flour and desiccated coconut and knead everything into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in foil and chill for 1 hour. Form the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet, leaving some space between them. Use a floured wooden spoon to make indentations in the center of the balls. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius for 10 to 12 minutes. When the cookies are done, place them on a wire rack and let them cool completely. Then carefully melt the chocolate in a bain-marie. Using a teaspoon, fill the melted chocolate into the indentations of the coconut balls.
