Mexican-style minced meat goulash

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 onions
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 500 g pork mince
  • 750 g minced meat, mixed
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 1 can of tomatoes (850 ml)
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 stalk(s) leeks (approx. 1kg)
  • 250 ml chili sauce
  • chili powder
  • Crème fraîche
  • Cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Peel and finely dice the garlic and onions. Peel, wash, and dice the potatoes. Heat oil in a roasting pan. Brown the minced meat and ground beef until chunky. Add the potatoes, onions, and garlic and brown. Season with salt and pepper. Add the canned tomatoes and tomato paste, pour in 3/4 liter of water, and bring to a boil. Simmer over medium heat for about 30 minutes. Trim and wash the leek, and slice into rings. 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time, add the leek and chili sauce and finish cooking. Season with salt, pepper, and chili. Crème fraîche and grated cheese go well with this dish.
