Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 2 gr. can/n peas, young, 500 g each
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 5 m.-large gherkins
  • 300 g bacon, diced
  • 3 eggs, hard boiled
  • 3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 tbsp Cremefine
  • 5 tbsp parsley
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Place the peas in a sieve and rinse under running water. Then transfer them to a large bowl. Fry the bacon in a pan until crispy. Add the bacon, including the rendered fat, to the peas and mix in. Trim the peppers. Peel the onion. Cut it into small pieces (approx. 5 mm) along with the gherkins. Peel the eggs and cut them into slightly larger pieces. Place the mayonnaise, cream, and crème fraîche in a bowl. Add the Worcestershire sauce and parsley, and season with salt and pepper. Add the peppers, onion, gherkins, and eggs along with the sauce to the peas and mix in. Let it simmer for a while and season again if necessary before serving.
