Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 60 g dried fruit, soft (apple rings)
  • 125 g sweet cream butter
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp instant drink powder, Chai Latte vanilla-cinnamon flavor
  • 1 pinch of gingerbread spice
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 225 g flour
  • 60 g almonds, ground, roasted
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • n. B. mulled wine
  • possibly food coloring, red

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Roughly chop the apple rings, then chop them as finely as possible in a food processor. I used the Thermomix for this. It won’t be completely flour-like, nor should it be. Then mix it with all the other dough ingredients. Wrap in foil and let it rest in the fridge for an hour. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 4 mm and cut out stars. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 12-15 minutes. Let the stars cool. Mix the icing sugar with as much mulled wine as needed to form a thick glaze. To give the glaze a little more color, you can add red food coloring, but it’s not necessary. Let the glaze dry.
