Spaghetti with tomato scampi sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g spaghetti
  • 1 large can of tomatoes, peeled
  • 1 pack of frozen scampi
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 shot of balsamic vinegar, dark
  • salt and pepper
  • oregano
  • marjoram
  • Thyme
  • rosemary
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the pasta as usual. Peel the onion and garlic. Finely dice the onion and halve the garlic. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry both until translucent. Then add the tomatoes, chop them slightly, and pour in a little water. Cook for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, briefly fry the scampi on both sides in a pan and season lightly with salt and pepper. Season the sauce to taste with salt, pepper, a dash of balsamic vinegar, thyme, rosemary, oregano, and marjoram, and let the scampi simmer for a short time. Drain the pasta and serve in a large bowl with the sauce.
