Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 170 g clarified butter
- 1 egg yolk
- ½ vanilla pod(s)
- 30 g powdered sugar
- ½ lemon(s), (zest of an unpeeled lemon)
- ½ orange(s), (zest of an untreated orange)
- 2 shots of Amaretto
- 200 g flour
- 50 g cornstarch
- 1 pinch of baking powder
- 50 g chocolate coating (whole milk)
- 2 tbsp cream
- 1 shot of Amaretto

simple Christmas cookies
Cream soft clarified butter with powdered sugar, egg yolks, spices, and Amaretto until fluffy. Sift flour with baking powder and cornstarch and knead into a dough. Chill the shortcrust pastry for at least 1 hour. Knead the chilled dough until smooth. Form small 2 cm diameter balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Make a hollow in the center with the handle of a wooden spoon. Bake at 160°C (convection oven) for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Melt the chocolate coating with the cream and Amaretto in a bain-marie. Stir thoroughly and fill the cooled krapfeln with the dough.
