Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 150 g wholemeal rye flour
  • 150 g whole wheat flour
  • 50 g oat flakes, optional
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 300 ml water
  • ½ cube of yeast
  • Fat for the mold
  • Spelt flour for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Make a perfect wholemeal bread in 5 minutes

Combine flour, salt, and oat flakes (optional) in a mixing bowl and mix briefly. Make a well in the center, pour in the water, and add 1/2 a cube of yeast. Wait about five minutes until the yeast has dissolved, then mix everything into a smooth dough. Pour the dough into a greased bread pan, sprinkle with a little spelt flour, and let it rise, covered, for about 20 minutes. Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heating) for exactly 45 minutes. Remove from the pan immediately after baking and let cool. Done! The recipe can be varied as desired. A tablespoon of rosemary adds a savory, spicy aroma, sun-dried tomatoes add a wonderfully fruity note (use a little less water in this case), and a handful of nuts also works wonders!
