Tomato sauce à la Kalli

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 vegetable onion(s)
  • ½ pack of garlic – duo, frozen
  • 200 ml chicken broth
  • 400 ml tomato(s), peeled
  • 4 tbsp paprika seasoning paste, hot
  • 150 g bacon, streaky
  • 2 tbsp oil (peanut oil)
  • Sea salt
  • pepper, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Finely dice the bacon and fry it in a pan with a little peanut oil until crispy. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper. Sauté the finely diced onion and garlic in the fat in the pan, then lightly toast the paprika paste. Deglaze with the chicken stock, chop the peeled tomatoes, and add their juices. Let the sauce simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Then stir in the bacon again and season with salt and pepper.
