Goulash in cheese and cream sauce with noodles

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 2 cups of cream
  • 500 g pork, diced, as for goulash
  • 100 g cheese, grated (young Gouda)
  • 500 g pasta
  • 1 can of mushrooms
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • Sambal Oelek
  • 1 tbsp butter

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Add the noodles to plenty of boiling salted water and cook until al dente. Heat the butter in a pan and sear the meat on all sides. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and sambal oelek. Add the mushrooms and sauté. Deglaze with the cream and bring to a boil. Melt the cheese, season to taste, and reduce the heat until the noodles are tender. Drain the noodles, stir in the sauce, and serve immediately.
