Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 300 g pork schnitzel (or lean pork)
  • 300 g roulade(s) or other lean beef
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 liter meat broth
  • 3 gherkins
  • 2 onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 3 bell peppers (yellow, green, red)
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 200 g crème fraîche or sour cream
  • 1 bunch of dill
  • Pepper, from the mill
  • Salt
  • Paprika powder (hot or medium hot)

Cut the meat into thin strips, approximately 1 cm thick and 3-4 cm long. Dice the gherkins, slice the onions into rings, and finely chop the garlic. Cut the bell peppers into strips the same size as the meat. Brown the meat in the hot oil. Then add the onions and garlic and fry briefly. Add the passata and the meat broth and simmer gently for approximately 1 hour. Add the bell pepper strips and gherkins, mix everything together, and sauté for approximately 20 minutes. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the lemon juice. Sprinkle with chopped dill and parsley. When serving, serve with crème fraîche or sour cream, about 1 teaspoon per plate. Side dish: baguette.
