Pea sandwich, discovered in Ireland

I discovered this sandwich recipe from an Irish friend. It sounds very unusual and probably not everyone will like it, but it’s definitely worth a try! You can vary the amount of peas yourself, depending on how intense you want the sandwich to taste. Prepare the frozen peas according to the package instructions. They can get really soft, because hard peas won’t taste quite as good with the sandwich. Meanwhile, spread the butter on the slices of bread, if desired. You can also omit this. Drain the peas well. If there is still too much moisture, the slices of bread can get a little soggy, which doesn’t taste very good. Place the peas on the slices of bread, season, and place two slices on top of each other.
