Maultaschen à la Max

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 packs of Maultasche(s)
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 ml milk
  • 50 g butter, for frying
  • Maggi
  • 1 tsp, heaped vegetable broth, instant
  • 1 tsp, leveled fried potato seasoning, or French fries seasoning

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

One of my absolute favorite recipes, and super quick and easy to prepare. Cut the Maultaschen into slices; the thinner they are, the crispier they are. Heat the butter in a non-stick pan and add the Maultaschen. Sprinkle a few drops of Maggi over the Maultaschen and mix well. This adds a special kick and makes them extra crispy. Whisk the eggs, milk, stock, and fried potato or French fry seasoning in a mixing bowl. When the Maultaschen are nice and crispy, pour the egg mixture over them and let them set. Remove the pan from the heat as soon as the egg has set all over. It will continue to set in the heat, but will remain nice and fluffy.
