Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 pack of puff pastry (from the refrigerated section)
- 500 g minced meat, mixed
- 250 g cheese (Emmental) in one piece
- 3 bell peppers, red, yellow and green
- 1 egg yolk
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder, sweet and hot
- herbs, Italian
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Roll out the puff pastry and place it on a baking sheet. Wash the bell peppers and dice them into small pieces. Brown them in a little hot oil, season with salt and pepper. Season the minced meat with salt, pepper, paprika, and herbs and spread it on the puff pastry to a thickness of about 2 cm. Leave about 2 cm of space around the edges. Then arrange the bell pepper pieces on top. Add the diced Emmental cheese. Now shape everything into a roll. The ends should be closed to prevent leakage. Brush the puff pastry with egg yolk. Place it on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake in the oven (top and bottom heat) at 180°C for about 1 1/2 hours. Serve with fresh salad.
