Porcini mushroom cream sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp porcini mushrooms, dried
  • 1 tbsp tomato(s), dried
  • Water for soaking
  • Water for soaking
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1 cup of Cremefine
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese, natural
  • 1 onion(s)
  • some white wine
  • some thyme
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • some sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with meat or pasta

Soak the dried porcini mushrooms and tomatoes in water until soft. Chop the onion into small pieces and sauté in a saucepan or frying pan with a little oil until translucent. Deglaze with the white wine and reduce slightly. Meanwhile, remove the soft porcini mushrooms and tomatoes from the water, finely chop with a mincing knife, and add to the pan with the soaking water. Reduce the heat for a while, then add the cream and crème fraîche. Add the cream cheese and simmer over medium heat. Season to taste with thyme, salt, and a pinch of sugar.
