Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g margarine or butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 200 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 300 g flour
  • 100 g potato flour or cornstarch
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 125 ml milk
  • 150 g chocolate coating, roughly chopped (can, but does not have to)
  • Chocolate or icing

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Recipe quantity for bread loaf pan

Mix the butter and sugar until the sugar has almost dissolved. Add the nuts, vanilla sugar, and eggs (either 4 large or 5 medium eggs) and mix. Mix the flour with the potato starch and baking powder and stir in alternately with the milk. Fold in the chopped chocolate, if desired. Bake in a greased bread pan at 160 degrees Celsius for about 1 hour. Dust with powdered sugar or cover with icing or chocolate. The cake is super moist and will keep for a whole week if refrigerated.
