Aglio e Olio with soy sauce and wasabi

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 350g spaghetti
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 30 ml soy sauce
  • 40 g butter
  • 2 tsp wasabi paste
  • 5 g basil leaves, finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the pasta for 1 minute less than the package instructions indicate. Remove 120 ml of cooking water. Drain the pasta and let it drain. Heat oil in a pan. Sauté the garlic; do not allow it to brown. Add the pasta water and boil gently for 1 minute. Add the soy sauce, butter, and wasabi paste, and stir in the spaghetti and basil.
