Peppers with millet and cream cheese filling

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 125 g millet
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 small carrot(s)
  • 200 g herb cream cheese
  • some salt and pepper
  • 4 bell peppers
  • 80 g sheep’s cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Vegetarian

Prepare 125g of millet according to the package instructions (wash in hot water and then boil in 250ml of water until completely evaporated – about 10 minutes). Meanwhile, finely chop the carrot and hollow out or halve 3-4 bell peppers. Once the millet is cooked, mix it with the chopped carrot and herb cream cheese and season with salt and pepper. Then fill the peppers with the mixture and sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese. Place in a baking dish and bake at 190°C until the feta cheese is lightly browned (about 25 minutes).
