Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g roast beef (pot roast)
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion(s)
  • Water
  • 3 grains of allspice
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp sour cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

Season the meat all over with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a pan and brown the meat all over. Peel the onions, cut into eighths, and brown them. Add about 250 ml of water and the allspice berries. Simmer over low heat for about 90 minutes. Remove the meat. Mix the flour with a cup of water, add it to the sauce, and bring to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and stir the sour cream into the sauce.
