Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 2 ½ kg goulash, mixed
  • 2 tsp salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tsp thyme, grated
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 3 large onions, finely chopped
  • 4 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 jar tomato peppers, cut into strips
  • 1 can of green beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can of mushrooms
  • 500 ml Hungarian-style paprika sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 15 minutes

In a large pot, layer the goulash with salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, cayenne pepper, onions, tomatoes, bell pepper strips, broad beans, kidney beans, and mushrooms, alternating layers. Finally, simply pour the sauce over the top. Cook in a preheated oven at 160°C for approximately 2.5-3 hours. Serve with rice or baguette.
