Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g pork goulash
  • 80 g fat
  • 3 onions
  • 250 g long grain rice
  • 1 can tomatoes, peeled
  • 375 ml broth, instant
  • 250g Gouda
  • 1 small can of mushrooms, sliced
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • some Hungarian-style paprika sauce from the jar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Dice the meat and onions and fry them well. Then add salt, paprika, and the can of peeled tomatoes. Top with broth and simmer for about 35 minutes. Then add the rice and let it swell in the broth (add a little more liquid if necessary). When the rice is cooked, add the Gouda cheese and let it melt. Finally, stir in the mushrooms and let it simmer briefly. Add paprika sauce for a finishing touch.
