Christmas cookies, makes about 40 pieces

Knead all dough ingredients (flour to orange liqueur) into a smooth, compact dough. Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. Then roll it out on a floured surface until it is about 3 mm thick and cut out small squares or rectangles. Cover half of the squares with finely chopped nougat, brush the edges with a little egg white, and place the remaining squares on top, pressing the edges firmly. Place the nougat cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 12-15 minutes. Then let it cool slightly and cover with melted chocolate glaze or nougat. Sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles and let the glaze dry.
